Family Circle is a monthly published American home magazine. The magazine is in the market for the past 87 years and is under the publishing house of Meredith Corporation.

Family Circle's first publication came in 1932
Family Circle was introduced in the US market in 1932. The magazine was sold off in Piggly Wiggly and Safeway supermarkets until 1946 thus becoming a huge success as a family monthly.
In 1962, it was acquired by Cowles Magazines and Broadcasting, a Minneapolis based company
who further sold out the magazine to The New York Times Company in 1971.
This was also the time when it came under women's magazine division which was undertaken by Gruner + Jahr in 1994 but they soon left out the publication market selling out the rights to Meredith Corporation in 2005.
Family Circle launched its website as Momster.com in November 2009 thus becoming one of the venerable Seven Sisters of cozy home magazines in the US market.
In October 2019, Meredith announced the closure of Family Circle's production after the December issue.
At present, the editor-in-chief of the company is Cheryl Brown who will later on hold the position of executive editor of Health magazine.

The magazine's recent news
Family Circle will close down its production of the monthly home magazines for women after its December issue.
The decision was taken by Family Circle's parent company Meredith after acquiring Time Inc. in 2018.
Meredith has also sold off some Time Inc. acquisitions like Time, Fortune and Sports Illustrated but has kept brands like Southern Living, Real Simple and Martha Stewart Living on their list.
Now they are planning for a new lifestyle magazine launch in January 2020.
