He was born in Jewish family, his father Alexander Dell was an Orthodontist and his mother Lorraine Charlotte worked as a stock broker. Dell has attended Herod Elementary School in Houston and later he was enrolled in Memorial High School. From the very young age, Michael Dell was interested in entrepreneurship, but his parent wanted him to become a physician, thus he was enrolled in University of Texas. Being a med student, nothing hindered his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. He started an amateur business set up from his room itself, he sold and assembled computer kits and finally he dropped his education to became a successful business man in long term.

Later on the company was renamed as ‘Dell Computer Corporation’. Dell was successful ran under the guidance of Michael Dell, in year 1986, it launched it’s a first fastest processor of that time which was 12 megahertz and had 286 processor. The company kept on growing at a major pace and was a tough competition to its rival companies like IBM. In year 1992, Dell was ranked among list of top 500 corporations. In 1990s, Dell came online and launched www.dell.com in 1994. Online pricing was introduced in 1995 and by 1996 the company was making online sales. Soon the internet sales reached about $1 million per day which rose to $50 million per day in 2000. Dell also launched its servers and storage products in Late 1990s. At present it is employing 103,300 people worldwide. Internationally renowned for its innovations in supply chain management and electronic commerce, Dell Inc. is currently the No. 1 shipper of PC monitors in the world.
