Michael Flynn Bio
Michael Flynn is a United States military personality known for serving at the rank of lieutenant general for 33 years in the U.S. Army.
He also served at the position of national security advisor for Donald Trump before making the resign in February 2017 on the revelation of his contact with the Russian ambassador.
Early Life
Michael was born on 5th December 1985 in Fort Maede, Maryland, the United States as Michael Thomas Flynn to Helen Frances and Charles Francis Flynn. He was raised in the family having eight siblings.
His father was a small-town banker whereas the mother was working in real estate.
He completed his graduation from University of Rhode Island majoring in management science in 1981 and later received Masters of Business administration in telecommunication from Golden Gate University, Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from Naval War College and Master of Military Art and Science from the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
As a teenager, he was also engaged in various athletic activities like driveway basketball games to surfing.
Career
He started his career in the United States Army as a second lieutenant in military intelligence and was then assigned to Fort Bragg in North Carolina and was then deployed as a platoon leader to Grenada in 1983.
He was also appointed as chief of joint war plans for the American invasion of Haiti in 1994. He went through certain promotions while serving in the army.
At the time of the terrorist attack in America, he served as Intelligence Director and later got appointed for Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in Iran.
He was praised for his activity of mining out cell phone data and for utilizing drones to keep an eye on terrorist cells largely accumulating about Al Qaeda in the area.
In 2012, he got the position of director in the Defense Intelligence Agency and got retired in August 2014.
After getting retired, he started a Virginia based Flynn Intel Group offering services in private intelligence and security.
In 2016, he was chosen for the political position as Trump’s national security adviser in November but gave resign after 24 days over the revelation of his contact with the Russian ambassador.
He was also found guilty in the case of hiding and lying about his conversations with the ambassador in 2017.
Personal Life
He got married to Lori Andrade. Both met while attending Middletown High School in Rhode Island. They are having two sons; Michael Flynn Jr. and Matt Flynn.
