James Harden was born as James Edward Harden Jr. on August 26, 1989 in Los Angeles, California, United States of America. His father James Harden Sr. was in Navy and his mother Monja Wills worked as an administrator. During his early childhood, James Harden distanced himself with his father and gave “Jr.” from his name because of his father’s drug involvement. James Harden went to Artesia High School in Lakewood California. During his time at high school, his stats in basketball prove to be very good; he was named ‘McDonald’s All-American’ and was earned second-team Parade All-American honors. Later James attended Arizona State; he was named first team All-District by the NABC and the USBWA.

James Harden played basketball from his high school days at Artesia and continued in college also. His professional career was kick started when he was selected as by Oklahoma City thunder in 2009 in NBA draft. He was named as NBA sixth man of the year and he lead Oklahoma City thunder into finals but defeated by Miami Heat. Later in 2012 he was traded to Houston Rockets for $ 80 million. He played well that year and has recorded outstanding statistics of 25.9 points. During 2012-2013 seasons Jams Harden was named as ‘All NBA third team’ and got his first ‘All NBA team’ selection. In 2013-14 he was also chosen for 2014 ‘All NBA star game’.
