Early life
Dr. Dre was born as Andre Romelle Young was come on earth on February 18, 1965, in Compton, California, the United States to his parents Theodore and Verna Young. His parents parted ways when Young was just seven years old.
Talking about his studies, he attended ‘Vanguard Junior High School’, ‘Roosevelt Junior High School’, ‘Fremont High School’ and ‘Chester Adult School’. Not much great at academics, Young diverted his attention towards music.
Career
Dr. Drebegam his musical career in the early 1980s, joined a musical group ‘World Class Weckin’. In 1984 the group released their first single titled ‘Surgery’ which was a major success and sold over 50000 copies.
In 1986, he along with Eazy-E, Ice Cube and DJ Yella formed the local gangsta rap group N.W.A. (Niggaz for Life). N.W.A worked on the themes of crime and gang lifestyle.
Niggaz for Life released their debut album ‘Straight Outta Compton’ was a success, more than 2 million copies were sold worldwide. In 1991, the group disbanded, but also released their second album named ‘Efil4zaggin’.
In 1991 Dre.Founded ‘Death row records’ with Sue Knight and released their first single ‘deep Cover’; Snoop Dogg also debuted from that song.
The early 1990s marked a major success for Dr. Dre, he released an album named ‘The Chronic’ and also delivered hugely successful singles like ‘Nuthin’, ‘G Thang’ and etc.
