He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on March 1, 1966. His parents are Katherine Clark (mother) and Mr. Richardson (father) and have two sisters Yma and Leisa.
Don holds a mixed ethnicity of African-American and French. He graduated from Brooklyn College in Broadcast Journalism in 1996.
Professional Work
When he was in college, he started working as a news assistant on Channel 5 in New York City. Very soon, he starts work as a professional anchor for various news organizations and channels including WBRC in Birmingham, Alabama, and WCAU in Philadelphia, as an anchor and investigative reporter for KTVI St. Louis.
Later he started working for NBC News and anchored on Weekend Today and MSNBC. On September 2006, he was hired at CNN.
