Dianne Goldman Berman Feinstein was born in San Francisco on June 22, 1933 to parents Betty Rosenburg and father Leon Goldman, her father was a surgeon and her mother was a famous former model. Talking about Dianne’s formal education, she went to Roman Catholic School and in year 1951, she was graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart High School, San Francisco, and in 1955, from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in history.
Career
Dianne Feinstein first worked on California Women’s Board of Terms and Parole and next she chaired San Francisco’s Advisory Committee for Adult Detention from 1966 to 1968. After few unsuccessful attempts, she became the mayor of San Francisco in 1978. She is a lady of first time, she was the first woman President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the first woman Mayor of San Francisco, the first Jewish
woman Senator of California, the first female member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the first woman to chair the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Rules and Administration Committee.
Personal Life
Dianne Feinstein has been married thrice in her life, first she married Jack Berman in year 1956, and he was her colleague in the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. They divorced in 1959. Their daughter, Katherine Feinstein Mariano, was born in 1957. Second time she married a neurosurgeon Bertram Feinstein, he died out of illness. Third time, in year 1980 she married Richard C. Blum, an investment banker.
