Getaroom came into existence in 2009 approximately 9 years ago by Bob Diener and David Litman.
Both were previously involved in another hotel reservation network named Hotels.com in 1991 which was acquired by InterActive Corp in 2003.
Getaroom was initially introduced at roomvalues.com in April 2009 by listing just 12 hotels on the website and further was re-launched in July of the same year. Gradually they grew with success raising the listing to 1,500 hotels in 30 worldwide cities.
In 2014, they put the brand in partnership to expand with Kayak and NewOrleans.com. Now at present, they have listed around 85,000 hotels spreading business across Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East.
