The parent company, EA, was established in May 28, 1982 by three managers of Apple Computer Inc. who decided to focus on marketing software games. The trend widespread and the company mainly focused on entertainment business. It is being headquartered in Redwood City, California.

The competition is also high with great gaming giants in market like Nintendo, Microsoft Xbox and Sony Playstation, as they have been in war with each other since past 10 years without seeing a defeat. The company is working on its gaming series like FIFA, NBA Live, NHL, Madden NFL and NASCAR that are popular in the world.
What actually raised the company as leader?
EA Sports was actually the real boost to parent company when technology was almost nonexistent. Initially, the technology was limited in functions to models like ERP leading to payroll, word and other dashboard creations. The credit of success goes to information technology that brought in the sound business formulating new strategies. This change grabbed the opportunity moving from traditional methods to new knit technological world. They soon became top producers in market having good sense of business and dealing. The company is working at top in market but yet had to face out certain problems which include shutting off publishing places and studios further letting go their employees who were not up to expectations. Even Scrabble game launched out in 2008 with Hasbro was a huge failure due to software issue. They still overcome the trouble to finally maintain their profit in positive numbers.
