Kingston School of Nursing
Kingston School of Nursing is a nursing school situated in Jamaica.
It established in the 1890s that make it the oldest nursing school in the country.
This institute was formerly known as the Teaching Department of Kingston Public Hospital.
It controlled by a Director having administrative responsibilities for its campuses.
On the other hand, the supervision duties performed by the senior tutors. The regulator of this institute is the Nursing Council of Jamaica.
This school started in 1890 and later expanded by including many other institutes like Victoria Jubilee Hospital, School of Midwifery, the School of Midwifery Spanish Town Hospital and the Cornwall School of Nursing.
It is one of the country’s major institutions that is operated by the Jamaican Ministry of Health to offer training to registered nurses.
Kingston School of Nursing Important Information
The Register Nursing program transferred to the University of Technology in 2007.
However, the training of Registered Midwives at their campuses retained by the Kingston School of Nursing.
The campuses of this school situated in the Cornwall Regional Hospital, Victoria Jubilee Hospital, and Spanish Town Hospital.
