This medical college was established in 2006 and has affiliated with The West Bengal University of Health Sciences.

It divided into a variety of buildings that are named KPM Ward, Sarada Building, New PWD Building, KPC Medical College, Sukanta Library, NRS & PCR Ward, and KPC Medical College and Hospital Building.

The motto of KPC is “A Medical Center of Excellence”.

There are more than 20 departments in the institution that named as Department of Dentistry, Department of Forensic Medicine, Department of Pathology, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Department of General Medicine, Department of Biochemistry, Department of Community Medicine, Department of ENT, and Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology among others.
