Lakewood Church is the United States largest non-denomination charismatic Christian megachurch situated in Houston, Texas. Lakewood church has more than 52,000 per weak. The Church is one of the largest gatherings in the country. In Church, there are two regular English services and two Spanish-language services per week. The senior pastor of the Lakewood Church is Joel Osteen, and his wife Victoria is the co-pastor.
Foundation
The Church was founded on May 10, 1959, by John Osteen and his wife, Dolores. The church founded in a deserted feel store situated in Northeast Houston. John Osteen was an ex-Southern Baptist minister. Later John experienced baptism in the Holy Spirit, so he established Lakewood Church for Charismatic Baptist. John as a pastor hosted and founded Lakewood’s Weekly television program with his wife. The television program watched more than 100 countries. On January 23, 1999, the pastor John Osteen died. After his death, the John youngest son, Joel Osteen come to be new pastor. In 2001, the disaster Tropical Storm
Allison hit Houston which causes a flood in the area. During the flood, the church provided shelter to more than 5,000 displaced people.

The Church provides their weekly broadcasting services on several networks such as Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar Television Network. The Lakewood also broadcast available on other network named as Fox Network, Freeform and USA Network. As of 207 records, the church spends more than $30 million every year on their television broadcasting.
