Early life
Drew Brees was born in Austin, Texas on January 15, 1979 to his parents Eugene Wilson Brees and Meena Ruth. Both of his parents worked in Law firm as a trial lawyer and attorney. His parents had a failed marriage and both divorced during early childhood of Drew. Drew Brees has one biological sibling and one half-sibling. Drew Brees had a natural inclined towards sports, as his father also played basketball in his early days, his maternal uncle was also a quarterback for ‘Texas Longhorns’. Brees went to ‘St. Andrew’s Episcopal School’ and later attended ‘Westlake High School’. He was enrolled to Purdue University and graduated in ‘industrial management’ degree in 2001.
Career
Drew Brees began his professional career with ‘San Diego Chargers’ when he was selected in 2001 NFL draft. He played his debut match against ‘Kansas City Chiefs’. In 2004 he played 15 games and managed his team to won 12-4. In 2005, he didn’t perform much because of his arthroscopic surgery. On 14th March 2006, Brees joined ‘New Orleans Saint’ and signed 6 years contract worth sixty million dollars. With a whopping 4418 passing yard and 26 touchdown accomplishment to his name, he was selected as starting quarterback for ‘2007 Pro Bowl’. In 2007, he made 28 touchdowns and secured 4,423 passing yard. Drew’s brilliant performance throughout his six year contract had a renewal and thus on 13th July 2012 ‘New Orleans Saints’ offered him a five year contact of 100 million dollars, the largest amount to ever be offered to a player in NFL.Brees continued to perform well in next seasons, in 2016, he did wonderful 5,208 passing yards.
