Chuck Schumer who has full name Charles Ellis Schumer is an American politician who is presently serving as Senior United States Senator from New York. He is the member of Democratic Party and before holding the position of senator he has served in the House of Representatives.
Charles Ellis Schumer was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, and United States on November 23, 1950 to parents Abe and Selma. He has two younger brothers, Fran and Robert and all are of Jewish ancestry. Talking about his education status, he has attended James Madison High School and later on has attended Harvard’s undergraduate college and law school before coming into politics. He stayed at Harvard to attend law school, earning his J.D. in 1974.He passed the New York State bar in 1975 but never practiced.
Chuck Schumer never practised law, despite of earning the J.D degree in Law. He only rooted towards politics and became successful also. In 1974, he was elected to the New York State Assembly at the age of 23, becoming the youngest
person to hold that particular legislative position since Theodore Roosevelt.Chuck Schumer, senior American politician from New York and a member of the Democratic Party was first elected to office in 1998.
He has won all successive senatorial elections in 2004, 2010 and 2016.
Talking about Chuck Schumer’s personal and love life, He is married to his wife Iris Weinshall. They tied the sacred knot of marriage on September 21, 1980 in private wedding ceremony. The married is blessed with two children, whom they named as Jessica and Alison, they also have completed studies from Harvard University.
Chuck Schumer is also the second cousin of famous comedian Amy Schumer.
