Terrible shelf life

Posted on May 25, 2018 at 07:04 PM

Pat S says: Purchased a box of trident perfect peppermint 14 stick pack. I’ve had it for a less than 3 weeks and was very disappointed when it saturated through the wrapping and the package it came in. The expiration date is 4/17/19. It also discolored my handbag pocket and made it very sticky. The gum doesn’t have a good shelf life and it ruined my handbag.

Packaging

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 06:01 PM

Barbara E Sparks says: Hate Trident's new packaging! No foil & hole in cardboard makes it hard & stale before I can finish the pack. Always swearing at it. Wishing the old packaging was back!

Trident Gum Hek cells

Posted on May 22, 2018 at 10:23 AM

Susan Frazier says: This has hurt me more than it will you. I have been enjoying your Trident Gum for years..maybe decades.
Recently, I learned that you use Hek cells for your flavor enhancements.
Besides the ick factor, I can not be a part of that.
I can not even imagine what kind of mind thought that up. Horrible.

Disappointed customer

Theresa Campbell says: Trident has always been my favorite brand, but the last two packs I bought were both more on the stale side. It has been pretty disappointing. I thought may be your company might want to know. The first pack was at Tops and the second was at Walmart in Lockport, New York.

Looking for Wintergreen white gum

Posted on Oct 18, 2016 at 05:50 AM

Karen Mott says: Hello,

I love Trident White Wintergreen flavored gum. My problem is this. It is no longer available at the stores in my shopping area here in New Hampshire. It used to be before the past year, and now I have had to buy it online or in Massachusettes. My question is this, is it no longer distributed (the Wintergreen flavor) in my state or do the stores in my state no longer order it? They order the Peppermint White and the Spearmint White. I can't find the Wintergreen White. Is there anything I can do to get the stores at Hanneford Market, Market Basket, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc. to order the Wintergreen White gum?
Thanks.

My dog got in my purse and ate several pieces of my trident gum that had the xylitol as an added ingredient. I feel as if you need to put a warning on the wrapper to warn consumers about the danger of toxicity to dogs so they can make sure the gum is out of reach of their dog. I wish I had known because I had no idea the danger of xylitol to dogs nor did I read the ingredients. I would never in a million years thought my trident
Gum would harm my dog. My dog was hospitalized for 2 days which cost me $623 of which I struggled to pay. I always make sure to keep harmful things out of reach of my dog and would have definitely made sure that trident was out of her reach if there had been a warning on the label. Does trident company offer any compensation to dog owners in this situation. This has put a hardship on my family over a pack of gum. Thanks for any feedback

I am 44 yrs old and have been chewing Trident gum my entire life. It is my favorite gum. I had to write and tell you though, that the "new" packaging with the fold over flap (vs the old pulling a piece out of the end) was a huge mistake. They never ever stay closed in a woman's purse or handbag, and then the pieces fall out all over and get ruined. I hate that! And I bet I'm not the only woman in this country who wishes you would go back to the old packaging. It's very frustrating having the whole pack dump in your bag over and over.

To Whom It May Concern,

I recently purchased a pack of Trident Perfect Peppermint gum at Walgreen on At-wells Ave in Providence, RI. As I have purchased and enjoyed this flavor many times before, I was shocked when I chewed the first piece and it tasted like chemicals. It wasn't stale, or old, it just tasted terrible. It was unchangeable.
I have been chewing Trident gum since I was a child, and it is my favorite brand. I am afraid that either this was a bad batch of gum or that Trident changed it's recipe- but either way, I am really displeased and hope that this can be resolved so I can continue to be a faithful consumer of the brand. I still have the bad pack, if you would like me to send it back to you.
The "best by" date on the gum is May 24 2017, other number is RK33515211 Q, and SKU number 12546.

Thanks,
Concerned Costumer

Hi, I'm writing you to let you know I've bean a trident lover for years especially peppermint. I have started chewing sweet mint and I love it too. Lately though it seems the last 3 times I bought sweet mint half the pack seems hard and crumbles when chewing. I tried again last week and unfortunately same thing. I've since gone back to peppermint which is fine but it's just frustrating. I thought I would let you know and hope it changes.

Trident should do a commercial prior to movies to show how they help remove popcorn from your teeth. You all are funny. Come up with a cool ad!
Additionally, there are always those two last pieces of gum on the sides inside the package that you always miss and just when you think it's all gone. Ooop. Two more pieces. Think of that commercial. Some guy you don't like. Sorry no more. A guy you are crazy about. Wait. Two more pieces and the ships a sailing!
My boyfriend said, I am only with him for his gum. I said yep! He said he was going to buy way more!
We love Trident!!

Bought a pack of the bubblegum flavor assuming it was going to taste sweet like bubblegum but it was so sour that I thought I was gonna throw up, something went wrong somewheres. I saved the original package, if you need information off it just let me know.

Hello, can you please place warning labels on your gum packets about how dangerous this gum can be to dogs? Unfortunately, my wife is now at the vet for an emergency visit because our 4 month old puppy decided to eat numerous sticks. Hope he makes it.

Past 2 or 3 packs of Trident EZ Close Pack gum is not easy to open at all. Extremely difficult to open the front foil (ending up ripping it open) and now we are finding that the entire cardboard covering is just falling off, like the glue is not sticking. We like Trident but this lack of quality packing is forcing us to consider other options.

I bought the variety pack (15) of trident gun about a week ago. There were supposed to be three packs of five different flavors. I opened the package today and there were six tropical twist, 6 original and 3 spearmint. There was no bubblegum or watermelon twist. Very dissappointed.
