Okcupid is 14 years old online dating site that is specifically designed by Chris Coyne, Sam Yagan, Christian Rudder and Max Krohn on 19th January, 2004 with an idea to use social networking platform to find out the perfect match member featuring multiple choice questions. The site is working under IAC’s Match.com division since 2011.

The real credit goes to four students at Harvard University who firstly led to the creation of TheSpark.com including quizzes and personality tests. The popularity rose and they decided to launch the site under domain OkCupid. The company was later acquired by InterActiveCorp in 2011 and is now working best in dating business around the world.

Why is it popular?


The site hit the trend of dating with its 3 principles; being always free to add, love of math and welcome to everyone. The service is free but it charges out for some additional features on its first principle. On the next option, they go for good math calculation to help you out get the right match and connecting faster. They don’t have rules in the third option that means your past doesn’t matter just they care about is your relationship of your dreams.
They add on the best features to make your job easy and one thing that attracts the user is that it is free of cost and has no bar on gender identity. It is among the first movers to offer unlimited messaging free of charge which got limited in year 2017. No longer a customer, you had a member Merkalthecat posing as a single in the Chicago Illinois area. He was a scam trying to pose as a military man and trying to get money. You need to screen your candidates. Lucky I did not fall for it, yet I am sure some women do.

My screen name was ThankfulOne4U: I deleted my account after suspicious contact by Fisher 409 and the last visitor to my account James Moore from Wilmington 24 years old. When I clicked on his name my computer was locked on his profile and READ was to right of screen and a go daddy certificate came up. I had to remove my battery to get out of your app.
