This American chain was started on 20th March 1930 by Harland Sanders with a single branch in North Corbin, Kentucky.
However, it has now grown to a multinational corporation with more than 20,000 locations in 123 countries across the globe. At present, there are more than 19,000 people employed by the organization.
Some of the popular dishes served by the company are chicken sandwiches, French fries, fried chicken, salads, desserts, and much more. As of 2013 records, the total revenue of the company was US$ 23 billion. The company is operating as the division of Yum! Brands, which is a well-known name in the restaurant industry.

KFC SouthAfrica. Almost 90% outlets are owned by the franchises, whereas the remaining locations are operated by the company itself. All the restaurants of the company sell regional pap fish. However, they don’t sell Pepsi soft drink in any of their branches in South Africa.
