Jeep Jeep is American Automobiles brand, which was founded in 1941, having headquarters in US, presently serving worldwide and mainly deals in SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles). The first Jeep was Bantam BRC which was produced as four-wheel-drive reconnaissance car in need of United State Army which was about to indulge in war raging in Europe. American Bantam Car Company built the prototype of same and Willy-Overland and Ford made their own changes and modifications in given design and later Willy won the contract to produce Jeeps for Army supply. Thus Willy’s Jeep design was considered as standard design of Jeep, Later thrice of companies, with permission of using Willy Design, built many Jeeps to accommodate the demand of US Army.
In 1945, Willy first civilian Jeep was produced and Willy Overland got the privilege of owning the brand name the name “Jeep” as registered trademark. After that Jeep had been sold to Kaiser Motors, American Motors Corporation, Chrysler Corporation consecutively. Around the world, there are many manufacturers who build Jeep under
their own brand name with license as Mahindra manufacture Jeep in India and Mitsubishi in Japan, there most of design are as original based on Willy-Kaiser design. Jeep has been always known for its Off-Road ability, as being four wheels drive and having solid front & rear axles. Wrangler is the one of model which is known for its strength, articulation & durability.
