About DMV
DMV, fully abbreviated as California Department of Motor Vehicles is a state agency that controls the registration of boats and motor vehicles in the state of California, United States. The main headquarters of this agency is situated in Sacramento city. Along with their main office, they operate more than 170 field offices in the different parts of the state. There are more than 8,800 people employed by the agency. Out of which, almost 35% are working in their headquarters, whereas the remaining ones are employed in the branch offices. This state agency is the component of California State Transportation. According to 2015 records, there are more than 27 million drives in the state.
DMV Operations
The main work of the agency is to issue the driving licenses in the California state. Furthermore, they regulate private driving schools, private traffic schools, new car dealers, and commercial cargo carriers. In order to record convictions against the licenses of drivers, the agency works in a partnership with the Superior Courts of California.

DMV to issue the identification cards to the individuals who aren’t suitable for the license.
