Sea Life London Aquarium Overview
Sea Life London Aquarium is a tourist destination located in London, England. The aquarium situated near the River Thames in Central London. The aquarium opened in March 1997 as London Aquarium. The annual visitors of the tourist destination are 1,000,000. The aquarium organizes several events named Brave the Bugs, Sea Witch Show and Halloween in London. In Shark Walk, the visitors will see shark below the glass.
The aquarium displays three robotic fish which are created by the computer science department. The robotic fish can be swimming around and avoid obstacles like real fish. Merlin Entertainment acquired the aquarium for an unknown amount. In 2005, the aquarium refurbished with a budget of £5 million. The Refurbishment includes a new underwater tunnel, a shark walk, a renovated Pacific Ocean tank and many more. The architecture of renovation was Kay Elliott. After the renovation, the aquarium reopened in April 2009. They also added a new penguin exhibition in May 2011. The exhibition has 10 Gentoo Pigeons which transferred from Edinburgh Zoo.

The Sea Life Aquarium has two classrooms. The classrooms host more than 40,000 school children each year. The classroom is open for public when the education program did not use. The aquarium works with an organization named as Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, Save Our Seas and Shark Trust. The program is also engaged in various breeding programs of Cuban Crocodile, Sea Horses, Butterfly Goodeids and Jellyfish.
The Aquarium has 500 no of species related to Coral Reef, Seahorses, Seadragons & Pipefish, Penguins, Turtles, Rockpools, Jellyfish, Sharks, Rays, Rainforest Species, The River Thames and Octopus. The Aquarium has biggest collections of marine life. The aquarium provides several facilities to visitors named as Flat routes from the parking area, breakout rooms, in-house AV available and Air conditioning.
