Disneyland Paris Overview
Disneyland Paris is a vacation place located in Marne-la-Valle, Paris. Disneyland is the most visited theme park in Europe. In 2017, the theme park visited by more than 14.8 million visitors. The resort situated in the area of 4,800 acres. The Disneyland contains two theme parks, resort hotels, shopping, dining and entertainment complex, golf course and many more venues. In 2017, the theme park celebrated their 25th anniversary.
The theme park provides various guest services related to Automated External Defibrillators, Hotel Luggage Service, Disney Check, Extra Magic Time, free Wi-Fi, Smoking Areas and many more. The main attraction of the theme is adventure isle, Alice’s Curious Labyrinth, Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Cars Quatre Rouse Rallye and many more. Theme park organizes several events for visitors named as Disney Halloween Party, Disney’s Enchanted Christmas, Fairy Tale Weddings, Halloween Festivals, Paris Magic Run and Festival of Pirates.
Disneyland Paris History
The planning for building a theme park in Europe started in 1972. More than 1,200 locations possible locations checked for theme park land. The construction manager of the park was Bovis. The theme park’s hotels are based on American Theme. Every hotel of Disneyland characterizes a region of United States. Frank Gehry designed theme park entertainment, shopping and dining complex.
The theme park officially opened on 12 April 1992 as Euro Disney Resort.
The theme park was closed from 14 to 17 November 2015 because of November 2015 Paris Attacks. The Walt Disney Company acquired the theme park and announced that they would spend €2 billion into the theme park. The investment will be used to extend theme park with three new areas which will be based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars. On 4 April 2009, the park was renamed as Disneyland Paris.
