Early life
Mukesh Ambani was born on April 19, 1957 in Aden, Yemen to his parents Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. He has three siblings in total, two sisters, Dipti Ambani and Nina Kothatri and a younger brother Anil Ambani. Mukesh was moved to India in a young age from Yemen, he has received education from ‘Hill Grange High school’ which is located in Mumbai. Later he joined ‘Institute of Chemical Technology’ in Matunga and earned BE degree in field of Chemical engineering. Later Ambani went on abroad to pursue higher studies, he attended Stanford University, USA and did MBA to assist his father’s well established business in India.
Career
After completing his studies from USA, Mukesh Ambani decided to help and assist his father and also decided to further expand reliance industries. He helped his father sat up PFY manufacturing plant and in year 1981, he officially joined Reliance Industries limited. Later on, he established ‘Reliance infocomm Limited’ whose main agenda was to provide communication technology services. After the death of his father, conflicts rose on between him and his younger brother, Anil Ambani, he gave away the company and later on, Anil Ambani named it’ Reliance Communication System’.
In year 2007, Mukesh Ambani bought a cricket team in Indian Premier League in the name of ‘Reliance Industries’, which was worth & 112 million.
Mukesh Ambani also serves as the board of director in ‘Bank of America’.
Mukesh Ambani’s vision has created and sat up the world’s largest grassroots petroleum refinery at Jamnagar, India. The refinery is integrated with petrochemicals, power generation, port and related infrastructure.
