Len Blavatnik was born on June 14, 1957 in Odessa, Soviet Union in a Jewish Family. His family migrated from Ukraine to United States in 1978; his family was not financially strong and struggled throughout. Len got United States citizenship in 1984. He has received education from very well-known and prestigious institutions; he has done Master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University and has also obtained Master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1989.
Career
Len Founded Access Industries at the age of 29 years. After the fall of communism in Russia, Access started diversifying in terms of the industries which they specialized in- going on to include oil, coal, aluminium, entertainment and petrochemicals to name a
few.
He has also bought Warner Music for $3.3 billion in year 2011.
Being an active philanthropist, he has donated more than very $500 million for multiple philanthropic works.

Leonard Blavatnik is married to an American citizen Emily Appelson. From their nuptial knot of love and commitment, the couple gave birth to four children two daughters and two sons.
He is currently residing in London, England, United Kingdom.
