Kawhi Leonard Bio
We are talking about an American basketball player who is in professional career after getting selected by Indiana Pacers with 15th overall pick in 2011 NBA Draft. He is currently playing for the team Toronto Raptors of NBA.
Early Life
Kawhi was born on 29th June, 1991 in Los Angeles, California as Kawhi Anthony Leonard to Mark Leonard and Kim Robertson. He was raised in family as the youngest member with his four older sisters. His father was shot dead at the Compton car wash in 2008 and the murderer is still not got arrested. Among his interests he is not so social and avoids participation in interviews just enjoying his individual life. For education he attended Canyon Springs High School and Martin Luther King High School. He later attended San Diego State University where he played college basketball till 2011.
Career
Kawhi started his early basketball career in high school turning out as a winner of California Mr. Basketball with 22.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.0 blocks per game. He was even listed as the No. 8 small forward and the No. 48 player in the nation in 2009. He joined the team of San Diego State University attaining 12.7 points and 9.9 rebound per game from 2009-10. He entered in professional career after getting selected with 15th overall pick in 2011 NBA draft by Indiana Pacers. Soon was traded to San Antonio Spurs further getting a chance to play in the 2012 Rising Stars Challenge but unfortunately didn’t play due to calf strain. By the end of 2011-12 season, he made it to 4th position of Rookie of the Year voting and was also named 2012 NBA All-Rookie First Team. During 2012-13 season he was resigned by the Spurs for NBA finals against the Miami Heat where he recorded 14.6 points and 11.1 rebounds.
He next contributed to team’s victory against the Memphis Grizzlies scoring season high 26 points further earning NBA All-Defensive Second Team. As a passionate player he has managed to earn following titles;

• NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2015, 2016)

These above titles are the result of his tremendous performances but alongside his game were also shadowed by some injuries. He suffered from an injury to his quadriceps and as a result missed some games. He is now traded to Toronto Raptors and is playing for the team.
Personal Life
He is in relationship with Kishele Shipley. She became the mother of his child in July 2016.
