Yahoo Australia History
The company was launched as Yahoo Australia on 1 September 1997, whereas they changed its name to
Yahoo7 in January 2006. In the same year, the company expanded its services to New Zealand when they found Yahoo!Xtra in a partnership with Telecom New Zealand. However, they changed its name to Yahoo! New Zealand in April 2011 when Telecom’s shares were acquired by the Yahoo7.
