The company was founded by Gautam Godhwani, Peter Weck and Anil Godhwani in 2003. When they started they have an initial amount of $1.2M to invest, so a beta site was launched in 2005. The company received huge popularity with the spread of words and managed to make its space further partnering with MySpace Careers in 2006.
In 2009 they came with The Washington Post by offering them job listing posts on their website. Gradually they were finally getting noticed but in 2016 they were acquired by Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd. to work with and become the publishing partner of Indeed.
