ScionToyota started a marque in 2003 called Scion Automobile on June 9, 2003 for featuring primarily Sports Compact Vehicles and cars were designed specifically to appeal younger customers. Scion Automobile has headquarters in Torrance, California, US. Scion Automobile is presently serving in United States & Canada, but soon production of same will be ceased by ending of 2016 and will be merged into Toyota its parent company. Popular by its Slogans “What Moves You” & “Weird, Right?” Possible chances of getting defunct of Scion Automobile are in August 2016.
Some selected models of Scion will be produced by Toyota as 2017 models. Currently Scion has 5 models line up- Second Generation TC, Second Generation xB, the IQ, the xD, and FRS which is a rear wheel drive (Sports Car), but all models of Scion Automobiles vehicles list as Scion iM MY 2016 (Toyota Corolla iM for the 2017 model year), Scion iA MY 2016 (Toyota Yaris iA for the 2017 model year), Scion FR-S MY 2013–2016 (Toyota 86 for the 2017 model year), Scion iQ MY 2012–2015, Scion xD MY 2008–2014, Scion
tC MY 2005–2016 - Generation 1: MY 2005–2010, Generation 2: MY 2011–2016, Scion xB MY 2004–2015 - Generation 1: MY 2004–2006, Generation 2: MY 2008–2015 and Scion xA MY 2004–2006 (swaped by the xD). Scion cars pricing is under $ 20,000. Customers have option to customise their Scion with available accessories. Scion was launched by Toyota to keep its product cycle short and low dealer margins to be value based, but it became hard as the sales fall down as 45,678 for 2010 model as compared to 2006 which was 170,000, so the management decided to make it non-operational in 2016.
