Quest History
The company was established in 1967 by Paul A. Brown as Metropolitan Pathology Laboratory with a single branch in New York City. Two years later, they changed their name to MetPath in 1969. They were acquired by Corning Glass Works in 1982 who changed its name to Corning Clinical Laboratories. In next few years, they acquired many companies, such as Diagnostic Medical Laboratory, Beecham Clinical Laboratories, AmeriPath, Athena Diagnostics, Unilab Corporation, American Medical Laboratories, and many more.
After 2010, Quest Diagnostics has acquired companies, such as Lab Partners Group, Cleveland Heart Lab, and Summit Health.
