PontiacPontiac is division of General Motors. Whether Pontiac production has been closed in 2009, defunct on Oct 31, 2010, still Pontiac is active & registered trademark of General Motors. Pontiac had its headquarters in Detroit, Michigan, United States. To create a companion of Oakland Automobiles, General Motors established a brand called Pontiac Automobile in 1926. Years later, Pontiac brand made its own space by leaving Oakland Automobile (its parent company) behind. Pontiac cars made its own customer market in Mexico, Canada & United State, which was sold under the brand name of General Motors. But, in early 2009, in the middle of financial situation, General Motors had to shut down its operation of Pontiac Automobiles.
