MTV Overview
MTV is a US cable and satellite television channel having their headquarters in New York City, New York. The channel is owned by Viacom Media Networks. There are lots of sister channels operated by the network that include VH1, Comedy Central, Logo TV, Paramount Network, TV Land, CMT, and MTV Classic. They have more than 90 million subscribers in the United States. The picture format of the channel is 1080i and 480i. During its starting years, the channel target young adults. However, nowadays they only target teenagers that include college and high school,students.
MTV Programs
The network telecast television shows of various genres, such as music series, reality series, competitive series, and scripted series. In the music category, the channel feature MTV Unplugged, Total Request Live, and MTV First. On the other hand, the reality series that include Catfish: The TV Show, Real World, My Super Sweet 16, Siesta Key, Teen Mom OG, True Life, and MTV Floribama Shore.

The competitive series consist of programs, such as Are You the One?, Fear Factor, and The Challenge, whereas Comedy Series category includes Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘n Out, Safeword, and Ridiculousness. In the past some years, the company has started to re-air lots of programs from other networks owned by Viacom, such as I Love New York, Flavor of Love, BET’s College Hill. In addition to that, MTV also broadcast some non-Viacom programs that include Life As We Know It, Scrubs, America’s Next Top Model, Hidden Palms, and Beauty and the Geek.
