GHI fully abbreviated as Gardens for Health International is an American company offering their programs across the world. The company works as a non-profit organization to offer sustainable agricultural solutions for the problem of chronic childhood malnutrition. The Gardens for Health International was founded by Julie carney, Emily MorellBalkin& Emma Clippnger in 2007. The company also partnered with many organizations such as European Union, UNICEF & Government of Rwanda to advocate for policies & programs regarding malnutrition. In addition to this, GHI partnered with four health centers in the Gasabo district of Rwanda which includes Gikomero, Nyaconga, Kayanga &
Ribungo.
Health Care Programs
There are many health care programs offered by the Gardens for Health International that targets agricultural support & comprehensive health education. Through their agricultural support program, GHI encourages to select one vegetable per season from many categories such as Leafy greens, Legumes, Market Crops, Fruit trees & many more whereas in Comprehensive Health Education
program, company talks with families for many topics such as Hygiene, Family Planning, Financial Literacy, Mental health & HIV/AIDS prevention to provide their children with a consistent source of nutrition food. Through these healthcare programs, GHI worked with more than 4,000 families.
