The main headquarters of the company is situated in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. They have given employment to more than 260,000 people globally. According to 2016 records, the annual revenue of Dominos was US$ 2.47 billion, whereas their net profit in the same year was US$ 214.7 million. The popular products sold by the company in their retail locations are dessert, pasta, pizza, chicken wings, and submarine sandwiches. The company was started by James Monaghan and Tom Monaghan on 10 June 1960 with a very small location in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The company’s shares trade publicly on the stock market.
Dominos Operations
The first international location of the company was opened in May 1983 when they expand to Canada. Following years, they start their operations in countries, such as Japan, United Kingdom, and the Dominican Republic. Dominos opened their 1000th branch in India in 2016. The owner of the company kept its ownership for more than 38 years and then sold more than 90% shares to Bain Capital in 1998.
Presently, the company operated stores in more than 5,700 cities globally. Out of these, 50% are situated in the United States, whereas the rest of them are located internationally. Since 1973, the company guarantees customers about delivering the pizza within half an hour of placing the order. Additionally, the company is involved in many charitable activities with many non-profit organizations.
