AVG AntiVirus is a set of antivirus software that is available on many different platforms, such as Android, macOS, and Windows. It is developed by AVG Technologies, a Dutch security firm based in Amsterdam, Czech Republic, Netherlands. The first version of this software when Grisoft launched their first product in the Czech Republic. AVG AntiVirus Free for Windows, and AVG Antivirus for Android. All these versions can be downloaded, installed and used for free, but the users have to pay for buying a premium plan.

The company was created by Jan Gritzbach and Tomas Hofer in 1991. As of 2016 records, AVG Technologies have more than 200 million active users who are happily consuming their products & services that consist of personal privacy, internet security, and performance optimisation applications. There are more than 1,450 people employed by the company through which they control the majority of their operations.
