Established on 4th July, 1979 AutoZone has its headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, United States having 8 storey building, a 270,000 square feet (25,000 m2) building in J.R. Hyde, III Store Support Center (SSC). AutoZone was known as Auto Shack in 1970s and on 1979, under the name of Auto Shack, first store was opened. In 1984 AutoZone was started quality control program for parts, which made it pioneer in such initiative. In 13 states, 194stores were opened.
