Allegheny Power was an American utility company who had offered their services in the states of West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The company was established on 31st January 1907 and get acquired by FirstEnergy in 2010. The merger between Allegheny Power and FirstEnergy was completed for an undisclosed amount on 25 February 2011. Allegheny Energy Divisions
During their operational period, they divided their operations into different divisions, named as Monongahela Power, The Potomac Edison Company, and West Penn Power. The first division served eastern West Virginia, western Maryland, and Northern Panhandle. On the other hand, the Potomac Edison served some parts of Western Maryland, and West Virginia, whereas the West Penn Power provide services in the Central & Southwestern Pennsylvania.
