About Aero Contractor Nigeria
We are talking about Nigeria based airline company, Aero Contractor Company of Nigeria Limited or just Aero Contractor.
The company is under the parent organization Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria serving 13 destinations.
When it got started?
The company came into existence in 1959 and got registered in Nigeria a year later in 1960 with a base at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.
It was initially functioning under the Netherlands ' Schreiner Airways B.V. The company was later acquired by CHC Helicopter in 2004 buying its 40% shares with remaining left for the Ibru family.
In 2010, it was wholly owned by the Ibru family but unfortunately, dispute aroused over the reduction of staff and outsourcing on industrial action and the company was brought under Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria with 60% shares and remainder still to the Ibru family.
What do they provide in services?
They are in the market to serve as air transport providers and regional airlines
with a combined fleet of 20 helicopters and 12 fixed-wing aircraft.
The latter ones range from 50 seats Bombardier Dash 8 to 144 seats Boeing 737-400. They also have helicopter service solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry in the West African sub-region. These services mark the highest standards keeping in view the prestige of multi-national oil companies.
Recently they have gone for further more product releases like online checking, online excess baggage voucher, online ticket vouchers, online travel insurance and web mobile to strengthen their position as the innovative and e-airline company in sub-Saharan Africa.

They are considered best through their most reliable services like scheduled services, the low-cost carrier, the domestic airline, regional airline, fixed-wing, and rotary-wing charters and best value fares finally empowering people to fly more often.
In past they used to carry 8,000 passengers a month, now they are doing almost 33,000 passengers every month thus making air travel safe, easy, convenient, affordable, fun and simple.
What’s new?
In order to provide better services to their customers, they are thinking of opening new routes in a bid and have unveiled new uniform accessories in March 2019.
