It was released by the company on 1stMay 1981 and has more than 65 million members. AAdvantage Membership Tiers
There are five membership tiers offered by the company under this frequent flyer program that is explained below:
• Gold ProgramThere is a requirement of 30 flown elite qualifying segments or 25,000 flown elite qualifying miles for getting gold status along with the elite-class qualifying dollars.
• Platinum ProgramOne need to have 50,000 flown elite qualifying miles for getting the platinum status. The priority baggage delivery, discounted admirals club memberships, and priority boarding to the platinum members.
• Platinum Pro StatusYou require 75,000 flown elite qualifying miles for getting platinum pro status. This status confers complimentary same-day standby, auto-requested complimentary upgrades, and priority baggage delivery.
• Executive Platinum StatusIn order to get enrolled in this plan, you need 100,000 flown elite qualifying miles. The services included in this status are priority baggage delivery, waived ticket service change, complimentary same-day standby, and complimentary alcohol beverage.
• Lifetime Gold StatusThe individuals who accumulate more than 1,000,000 miles receive the Lifetime Gold Status.
The partner airlines that come under the AAdvantage plan include Alaska Airlines, Cape Air, Gulf Air, Horizon Air, Jet Airways, WestJet, and Air Tahiti Nui.
