Yuzvendra Chahal is a 28 years Indian International cricketer. He is also a former Chess player and has represented India in Various chess championships. His role in Indian team is off bowler, he is right arm leg break bowler and an occasional right handed batsman. In Indian Premier League, he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore and in domestic cricket; he represents the state of Haryana.
Early life
Yuzvendra Singh Chahal was born and brought up in Jind, Haryana, India. It is a small town of Haryana state. He was born on July 23, 1990 to parents KK Chahal and Sunita Devi. Yuzvendra Chahal has completed his studies from ‘DAV Public School, Jind’. Talking about his sports interests, Chahal was inclined towards Chess from the age of seven years; he has also participated in various tournaments. He was the U-12 National Chess Champion in 2002. He even represented India at the 2003 Chess World Cup. But due to lack of exposure and unavailability of guidance and funds, he didn’t pursue it as a career. Career
Talking about Chahal’s rose in cricket and career statistics and highlights, he made his debut in first class cricket in year 2009 against Madhya Pradesh and he represented Haryana. He is playing on National side from the year 2016, his One Day International debut happened on June 11, 2016 against Zimbabwe and he played his first T20 match on June 18, 2016 against Zimbabwe only. He is not included for Test formats yet. In Indian Premier League, Chahal joined the league in year 2011 with Mumbai Indians and then stayed with Royal Challenger Bangalore. Talking about his achievements and high points up till today, he holds the record of being the first Indian bowler to take 5 wickets in T20 International. He achieved this accolade against England in February 2017. He was declared as the man of the match in his very 2nd second ODI.
Personal Life
The Haryana born Jatt cricketer is very much bachelor and is not tied in any romantic relationship. Although many times, news has surfaced of him being in relation with actress Tanishka Kapoor.
Yuzvendra Chahal is a huge fan of sports personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Kevin Petersen, Shane Warne and Vishwanathan Anand.
