About Xi Jinping
Xi Jinping is 65 years old Chinese politician who at present is serving the nation as president of the People’s Republic of China.
He is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China and is chairman of the Central Military Commission.
Early Life
Xi was born on 15th June 1953 in Beijing to Xi Zhongxun and Qi Xin. He was raised in a family with his sister Qi Qiaoqiao. His father was associated with the Chinese Communist Party as a leader.
Being related to the political background he was destined to go for the same but his father was purged from power in 1962. In 1966, a cultural revolution was launched to preserve true communist ideology and purge remnants of capitalist society.
His former education was halted and he was sent down to work in a remote farming village for seven years. He grew up with a sense of idealism and pragmatism and after numerous attempts, he got selected in the Communist party in 1974.

Career
After getting selected in 1974 at the Communist party he decided to complete his education at Beijing’s Tsinghua University in chemical engineering. He then served as vice premier in the Central Military Command from 1979 to 1982.
Next year, he made it to the leadership position in four provinces till 2007 focusing on agricultural and tourism development in the area. He also served as vice mayor of Xiamen in Fujian getting promoted to governor position.
The real fame came when he was raised as a party secretary in 2007 after a pension-fund scandal rocked the leadership of Shanghai.
In 2008, he was elected for the vice president post of the People’s Republic of China getting a hold on the preparation of the 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing.
He paid various visits in foreign during his tenure to benefit the nation and then also got elected for being the general secretary of the Communist Party in 2015 and being the chairman of the Central Military Commission.
His efforts to cope with government corruption and slowing economy benefitted him raising his position to serve as president of the People’s Republic of China.
In late February 2018, the Communist Party’s Central Committee proposed scrapping term limits for China’s president and vice president, setting the table for Xi to govern indefinitely.
Personal Life
Xi Jinping got married to Ke Lingling but both soon ended their relationship with a divorce.
Xi then married to Chinese folk singer, Peng Liyuan in 1987 and is the father of a beautiful daughter Xi Mingze.
Achievements
He got awarded many titles for his contribution to Chinese politics. The most recent one includes the Order of Zayed by UAE on 20th July 2018.
