The Chainsmokers is an American Popular DJ and production, which is formed by two artists’ collaboration Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart. There initial success was in 2014 and 2015. Their first single ‘Selfie’ was a huge success and was top on famous chartbusters. In year 2015, they released their first EP ‘Bouquet’, it also got popular among music listeners. The Chainsmokers are very hit and garnered much praise for their music production and mixing.
Formation and Success
The Chainsmokers is a collaboration of two artists, who came forward to produces brilliant amount of music and up heated beats. The Chainsmokers was started by Drew Taggart and Alex Pall. Drew Taggart grew up in Maine and Alex Pall was raised Westchester County, New York. Both came together in year 2012, introduced to each other by Rhett Bixler, who was initially the part of th band, but soon he left it in middle way. In 2012, Drew Taggart and Alex Pall worked with Indian actress and famous Bollywood personality ‘Priyanka Chopra’ , they released first single ‘Erase’ with her, it was released in November on online portals and in December it came out on itunes.
Their First Extended Play (E.P) was titled ‘Bouquet’ received mixed reviews among music critics and music listeners. The single ‘roses’ received much wide appreciation and won number two spot on dance chart busters. Another single ‘Until You were Gone’ was also a major hit.
Second EP by The Chainsmokers was titled ‘Collage’ was major critical success. The single ‘Closer’ was an instant hit and won many fans for the band. It also helped the chainsmokers earn a Grammy award nomination.
The famous singles by the chainsmokers are ‘Selfie’, ‘Roses’, ‘Don’t let me down’, ‘Closer’ and ‘Paris’.
The discography of American DJ duo The Chainsmokers consists of two studio albums, three EPs, thirty-three singles, nineteen music videos, and thirty-six remixes.
Their two studio albums are ‘Memories…Do not open’ it was released on April 7, 2017. It reached on peak position in US, Canada, and many other countries. The second studio album Alex Pall and Drew Taggart came out on December 14, 2018, is currently new one and it music is very much loved by its listeners.
