Rashami Desai or Divya Desai is 33 years old Indian TV actress, model and dancer. She came to limelight for portraying the character of Tapasya in Uttaran on Colors TV.
She has also made cameo appearance in Arbaaz Khan's directed movie Dabangg 2 in 2012. On 29th September 2019, Rashami Desai participated in the Indian controversial reality show Big Boss 13 as the highest-paid contestant.

Rashami was born on 13th February 1986 in Nagaon, Assam, India to a Hindu family. The ground roots of the family are in Gujarat, India.
Rashami's father Ajay Desai passed away when she was in her childhood. Her Mother Rasila Desai raised her alone with Brother Gaurav Desai.
For her primary education, she attended JB Khot Primary School, Borivali East, Mumbai and later joined the Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics to complete her diploma. This was also the time when she got her first acting assignment.
Among her interests, Rashami loves to drive, travel, swim, watch news and dance. She is a trained
dancer of Kathak and Bharatanatyam and also loves Shastriya Sangeet during her free time.

Rashami started her acting career in 2002
Rashami made her acting debut in Assamese movie Kanyadaan in 2002. In 2004, she starred in Birendra Nath Tiwari's Bollywood movie Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke followed by an appearance in various Bhojpuri films like Balma Bada Naadan, Gazab Bhail Rama, Gabbar Singh, Kangna Khanke Piya Ke Angna, Pappu Ke Pyar Ho Gail and Tohse Pyar Ba.
In 2006, she made her TV debut with Zee TV series Raavan playing the character of Mandodari but stardom came from Indian soap opera Uttran on Colors TV in 2008. She got praised for her negative role in Tapasya in the series.
Rashami has also worked for other TV series like Pari Hoon Main, Crime Patrol, Big Money, Kitchen Champion Season 2, Comedy Circus, Zara Nachke Dikha, Jhalak Dikhhla Ja, Nach Baliye 7 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.
In 2015, she did another popular TV series Ishq Ka Rang Safed followed by Aduri Kahaani Humari and Dil Se Dil Tak. She has also made a cameo appearance for the song in Bollywood movie, Dabangg 2 in 2012.
Rashami's Gujarati movie Superstar came in 2017 where she starred alongside Dhruvin Shah. At present, she is in the Big Boss House as a contestant competing with fellow stars to win the controversial reality show Big Boss 13.
