Nas was born as Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones on September 14, 1973 in Brooklyn to his parents. His father Olu Dara was a famous Jazz musician and his mother Fannie Ann Jones was a Postal service worker. Nas was raised in Queensbridge Houses in the Long Island City. Nas completed his education of frican culture from ‘Five Percent Nation’ and the ‘Nuwaubian Nation’. Nas always had interest in music in especially in hip hop and he also left his studies after eighth grade to pursue his musical dream.
