Mikhail Fridman was born as Mikhail MaratovichFridman was born on April 21st, 1964 in Lviv, Ukraine, USSR, which is west Ukraine. He was born in Jewish family to parents Marat Shlemovich and EvgeniaBentsionovna, Mikhail Fridman is the second child of his parents and has one elder brother. Mikhail Fridman’s formal education is consists of Metallurgical engineering which he did from Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1986.

Mikhail Fridman first started working by selling washing windows. Later on he founded ‘Alpha Eco’ enterprise and got engaged in selling of petroleum and steel products. He later expanded his business activities in food products and art objects, telecommunication services, insurance and investments, advanced technologies and the banking sector. Russia "Alfa-Bank" in which 14 million individuals and 200 thousand legal persons got service, the "Altimo" company controlling mobile operators "Beeline", "Kyivstar", "Life" and the Turkish operator "Turkcell" became the largest offices of "Alfa Group" of Fridman. Mikhail Fridaman is also a notable philanthropist; he has opened a charity foundation called as ‘Life Line’, it helps ill people and children against fatal diseases.
Personal Life
Unlike his well-established business life, Mikhail Fridman’s personal life is not well settled, he was married to his classmate Olga Ayziman, with whom he had spent almost 20 years of his life and later filed divorce. They together gave birth to two children Larisa (1993) and Ekaterina (1996). But children hadn't saved their family from destruction, and at the beginning of 2000 spouses divorced. For the second time, Fridman married his former employee Oksana Ozhelskaya, they also has two children, a daughter Nika and son Alexander. Eventually they also headed for divorce.
