Maxine Waters is a 80 years American politician. Her full name is Maxine Moore Waters and she is presently serving as the U.S Representative for California’s 43rd congressional district. She belongs from Democratic Party. She is considered one of the most powerful women in US politics these days. Early life
Maxine Waters was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 15, 1938 to her parents Velma Lee and Remus Carr. She is the fifth born child of her parents and 12 siblings. She is an American national and has African ethnic roots. In education, she has done her high school from Vashan High School, which is located in St. Louis, Missouri. Talking about her college and university studies, she was enrolled to Los Angeles State College and has done bachelor’s degree in subject of sociology.
Career
Maxine Waters work life is, she first started working in a garment factory and she also worked as a telephone operator. Later she stepped
towards social and political works; she began her work as a chief deputy to City Councilman David S. Cunningham, Jr. in 1973 after that, she entered the California State Assembly in 1976.From 1997 to 1998, she served as chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Subsequently, Waters was elected to the United States House of Representatives for California’s 29th congressional district. And later on, she became the California’s 35th congressional district from year’s 1993 to 2013.
Personal Life
Maxine Waters have been married twice in her life; she has first tied the sacred knot of commitment with Edward Waters In year 1956. They are blessed with two children, boy and a girl, which they happily named as Edward and Karen. Eventually after long association, the couple parted ways with mutual consent in year 1972.
Maxine Waters for the second time exchanged the wedding vows with Sid Williams in year 1977, the couple is still together, but does not have any child together.
