Marco Rubio is a 47 years old American Politician. He has been serving as the United States Senator from Florida. He is holding the office since January 2011 and previously served as the speaker of the Florida House of representatives.
Early life
Marco Antonio Rubio was born in Miami, Florida to parents Mario Rubio Reina and Oriales Rubio who were Cuban immigrants on May 28th, 1971. He has three siblings. Coming from an average class, his father worked as a bartender and his mother was a house keeper at a hotel. Marco Rubio has completed his high school education from Miami Senior High School in year 1989. Talking about his college qualification, he has done Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Florida in year 1993. He was also an athlete during his college time. He has also obtained J.D degree in 1996 from Miami school of Law.
Career
During his law school times, Marco worked on internship with U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and also worked on Republican Senator Bob Dole's 1996 presidential campaign. Charmed by politics, he
started building his political career from late 1990s and gained the position as a Member of the Florida House of Representatives from the 111th district in 2000, succeeding Carlos Valdes. During his tenure he served as Majority Whip and Majority Leader. In year 2006, he became the speaker of the house, his time as the speaker ended in 2008. He returned to his legal career and started his own law firm. During this time he also began teaching in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University (FIU) as an adjunct professor. In year 2009, he fought for 2010 United States Senate election in Florida,Marco Rubio assumed office as United States Senator from Florida in January 2011.
Personal Life
Talking about Marco Rubio’s marital and person life, he has been married once in his life. He tied the sacred knot of marriage with his wife Jeanette Christina Dousdebes in year 1998 at the church of the little flower in Coral Gables, Florida. The fell in love during their college time and dated nearly for seven years. The love couple has together four children.
Marco lives in West Miami, Florida along with his family happily.
