Lewis Hamilton full name is Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton, he was born on January 7, 1985 in Stevanage, England. His parents’ names are Carmen and Anthony Hamilton. Although he is raised by his mother only, as his parents divorced when he was just a toddler. By his teenage, he shifted with his step dad and step brother, who was a racer. Lewis Hamilton has a warmth and love for cars from his toddler days. He has many toy cars with him. He was inclined towards football in his young school days. He went to ‘The John Henry Newman School’.
Career
Lewis Hamilton started his career as a racer in year 2001, when he took part in British Formula Renualt Winter Series 2001. He faced a crash, but still managed to finish fifth, which helped him securing a place in 2002 Formula Renualt U.K Campaign; he finished third in that. He made his debut at F1 in 2007 at Australian Grand Pix, he finished on second spot. In Bahrain and Barcelona F1 racing he came at second spot. In the beginning of 2008, Hamilton signed a contract with McLaren-Mercedes to stay with them until the end of 2012. In the first race of the season, Lewis ended up scoring a victory in the Australian Grand Prix. He won Monaco Grand Prix and was the first runner-up in Turkey and later secured a victory in the British Grand Prix. He became the youngest formula one world champion. In 2009, he won first runner up spot in Valencia and in 2010 he was the winner of Turkish Grand Prix. In Japan, South Korea and Brazil Grand Prix, Lewis finished at fifth, second and fourth spots respectively. In 2011, Hamilton secured the number two spot in Australian Grand Prix and emerged as a winner in Chinese Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton joined Mercedes Benz Works Team in late 2012, and in the next season, after putting out an average performance at the Australian, Malaysian and Chinese Grand Prix, he achieved his first victory racing for Mercedes in the Hungarian Grand Prix. N year 2014, Hamilton was awarded as ‘BBC Sports Personality of the year’ honors. In 2016, Hamilton managed to get second spot in Australian Grand Prix and he won British Grand Prix. In 2017 Hamilton won in the Chinese Grand Prix and secured second spot in the Australian Grand Prix. He won in Spain, securing his first title win of the season.
