Early Life
LA Dawson was born on 1st March, 1990 in Swindon, Wiltshire, England as Liam Andrew Dawson to Andy Dawson. He started playing cricket from young age of 3. At the age of 7 he joined Goatacre further playing at Chippenham Cricket Club in Wiltshire. Among his personal interests he is fascinated with Bury F.C and is a huge fan.
Career
He started his domestic career with Hampshire in 2007 by playing three List A matches. He struggled for a wicket in his debut match and scored around 32 runs but soon in next season he managed to score his first century at Trent Bridge in 2008 against Nottinghamshire. In 2009, he played for England Lions’ squad against New Zealand and was also the part of 2009 Friends Provident Trophy winning team. In whole season of 2010,
he played in total 8 championship matches having an average of 29. In 2011 he came up with strong position maintaining average of over 35 in championship and List A matches. In 2012, he tried bowling for the first time for Hampshire and got around 26 wickets with average of 32. He also took a chance in T20 format and made his 1000 runs in first class cricket in 2013. His international career came on the way in year 2016 when he got selected in squad for ICC World T20. He lost the chance of playing in the cup but later in the same year took 3 wickets against Sri Lanka in T20 match helping out his team to win. His first ODI debut was made against Pakistan in which he took 2 wickets scoring 10 runs. Next he came up with test match against India where he got 2 wickets scoring 66 runs in his debut match. He recently got selected as the squad member of Comilla Victorians team for the Bangladesh Premier League (2018-19).
