Kelaniya University
The Kelaniya University is a Sri Lankan state university that is situated in the city of Kelaniya. The motto of this educational institution is “Self-purification is by insight”. According to June 2018 records, the Chancellor of this university is Dhamma Thero, whereas their vice-chancellor is Professor Semasinghe Dissanayake. This educational institution was established way back in 1875 making it one of the oldest universities in the country. They affiliated with the Sri Lankan University Grants Commission, Global Universities Partnership on Environment and Sustainability, International Association of Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities. Presently, the university has an academic staff of 771 academic and 637 non-academic individuals.
