Kabul University
Kabul University is an Afghani university that is situated in the city of Kabul.
It was established way back in 1932 with a motto “Excellence in Service to Afghanistan”.
The government of Mohammed Nadir Shah and Prime Minister Mohammad Hashim Khan.
There are more than 25,000 students at this university. Out of this, almost 40% are females that is a record in Afghanistan.
The main motive of this university is to boost up the prosperity of learning and research.
Some notable alumni of this university are HamidaBarmak, Nancy Dupree, Saeed Nafisi, QadriaYazdanparast, Mohammad Na ibullah, and WasefBakhtari.
They also have a National Centre for Policy Research that was established in 2003 by Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Ministry of Higher Education.
It also consists of faculty in various departments like Social Science, Law & Politics, and Economics.
Kabul University Faculty
The university’s structure divided into many different faculties that we have explained below:
• Faculty of Environmental Science- This faculty has three different departments that are named Department of Disaster Management, Department of Environmental Protection.
• Faculty of Computer Science- There are three departments in this faculty that are named Department of Information System, Department of Software Engineering, and Department of Information Technology.
• Faculty of Veterinary Science- In this faculty, the faculty has five departments like the Clinic Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Paraclinical Department, and Food Hygiene Department.
• AllamaIqba Faculty of Arts- This department includes two computer labs, 20 faculty offices, two seminar halls, and 28 classrooms. It established in 2010 with a cost of US$ 10 million by Pakistan.
Kabul University Services
In addition to their faculties, the university offers a great variety of services like Introduction of Kabul University NOC, Information Technology Center of Kabul University, and Activities of Policy Research National Center of Kabul University.
