Jorge Paulo Lemann attended ‘American School of Rio de Janeiro’ and later he was enrolled to ‘Harvard University’ in year 1961, he did Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics. Jorge was also an excellent tennis player in his young days, he has also won Brazilian national tennis championship for five times, and also has played ‘Davis Cup’ and ‘Wimbledon’ for Brazil.

Jorge Paulo Lemann, after completing his studies, joined a MNC named ‘Credit Suisse’ as a trainee. In year 1966, he invested in a company called ‘Invesco’ and had 2% share in the company, soon the company went bankrupt. He collaborated with Marcel Herrmann Telles and Carlos Alberto Sicupira in 1971, and established the company 'BancoGarantia' which was an investment bank. He was also a member and director of the board of company named ‘Brahma’. Lemann purchased the Brazilian breweries named 'Companhia Antarctica Paulista' and 'Brahma Beer' along with his business partners of ‘GP Investimentos’, and renamed them as ‘AmBev'. In 2004, they founded a company named ‘3G Capital’, which was an investment company. He was also a member of board of ‘Gillette’. He is also associated with a charitable organization ‘Endeavour’.
